Important Information Regarding the Tests
The tests typically take about 2 to 2.5 hours, but larger packages may take up to 5-6 hours.
Laboratory Tests:Blood samples are taken on an empty stomach, but prior to the tests, please drink at least 3-4 dl of still mineral water.
Morning Appointments: For abdominal ultrasound exams, please arrive on an empty stomach but drink at least 3-4 dl of still mineral water beforehand (as mentioned above). Abdominal ultrasounds are performed with a full bladder to better visualize the pelvic area.
For afternoon appointments: Please refrain from eating any solid food for 5-6 hours prior to the test and only drink still mineral water. If, due to health reasons, you must eat before the examination, please opt for a light meal, such as plain bread or a plain roll with still mineral water. The abdominal ultrasound will be performed with a full bladder for better visualization of the pelvic area. If you consume too much food before the exam, the gallbladder may not be fully visible. Please bring any previous medical records or test results with you if available!
Ophthalmic Tests: You will need your reading and distance glasses for the eye exam. If you wear contact lenses, please remove them before the eye exam.
Stress ECG: The stress test will be conducted using a stationary bike or treadmill, so we recommend wearing comfortable sportswear, clean indoor shoes, and bringing a towel.
Other Important Information: f you take beta-blockers (e.g., metoprolol, bisoprolol, nebivolol, betaxolol, pindolol) for high blood pressure or high pulse rate, please do not take these medications on the morning of the exam, but bring them with you. However, please take any blood pressure-lowering medications as usual on the day of the test. If you have a fever or are experiencing illness, it is recommended to reschedule the screening. Please refrain from consuming coffee or smoking on the morning of the exam.
We look forward to welcoming you to your screening!
